Terica Taylor grew up in Skagit County, without a home. As a child, her parents struggled with seasonal unemployment, homelessness, and hunger.
Her inspirational story of the challenges of living in cars, campers, and motels focuses on the kindness of strangers and the importance of even the smallest contributions we make. Inspired by the value of jobs, she works to attract companies to relocate or expand into Skagit County- bringing family wages with them.
Her and her husband also own a successful whale watching company, Deception Pass Tours, that has been featured nationally and internationally on television and in print. She is the mother of a 16 year old and 14 year old, and has been named the 2013 Mover and Shaker by the Washington State Department of Commerce for economic development.
