EcSA (Economic Security for All)
EcSA is a 12-month program through Community Action of Skagit County and Northwest Workforce Council. EcSA helps families within Skagit County grow their financial skills through education on money management. Our goal is to streamline access to existing services and benefits to help participants obtain full-time employment.
The components of EcSA include F.L.A.R.E. (Financial Literacy and Renter’s Education) and support in career services, work experience/internship and essential skill building.
Our agency will hold F.L.A.R.E., an 8-week series of classes designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge surrounding money. Various topics include credit, debt management, preparing to rent, budgeting & saving strategies and more. Local financial institutions will also provide interactive workshops during class sessions.
Once participants have completed the 8-week series, they are matched with a financial literacy mentor. Mentors are there to support, hear, and guide participants in setting and achieving their financial goals. Participants and mentors are required to meet monthly, for the remainder of the program.

“They helped build my future and help create goals. I don’t have to face my financial challenges alone.”
