Description: People in rural and isolated areas of Skagit County experience financial difficulties differently than those in our small cities. What are the challenges facing folks in Rockport, Marblemount, Concrete and Hamilton? Learn about Community Action’s East County Resource Center, the Concrete Community Center, and how Skagit County government, nonprofits and businesses are collaborating to meet local needs for families, veterans, seniors and people without homes. Find out how your nonprofit agency can provide services, or how you as a community member can volunteer or get involved to help.

PLUS SPECIAL UPDATE: Big changes are coming to Energy & Utility Assistance! Learn how it will be easier than ever for families to save hundreds of dollars on bills, so they can use their hard-earned money for other basic needs.

About the Brunch & Learn:
Join us from 9-10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month for “Virtual Brunch & Learn with Community Action!” Back in “The Beforetimes”, Community Action hosted monthly Lunch & Learn sessions for our partners, volunteers, staff, donors and anyone else interested to: 1) Learn about a community need, 2) what the community is doing to solve it together, and 3) Community Action’s role. In 2023 we’ll look at hunger and food security, housing and homelessness, services for seniors and kids, and much more! Bring your coffee or tea and a snack to this virtual coffee break, and join us!
